My Nth New York

It's been my nth time to New York and I haven't seen enough, the Statue Of Liberty, Empire State and the nice Designer outlets .

But the most interesting part in going to NYC are our guests and my collegue. Few days before the flight I already condition myself that this will be a great and entertaining flight. Passengers who are mostly from the sub-continent of HINDUSTAN ( India, Pakistan and Bangladesh) and the crew from various nationalities with different work ethics and laziness per se.

Well, as expected, going both back to New York and Abu Dhabi were full, full of fortunate souls who were able to live the life in America but still maintains their hygienic powress. Bwahhah, it's ironic that they have all stayed in the US for a long time and still preserved their culture and tradition by not taking a bath and cleaning their selves properly. But compared to Toronto, Sydney and Melbourne flights, passengers are quiet and knows the phrases of " THANK YOU and I Appreciate it!" None the less, majority are "PG".

As for the crew, oh well, what to do, they say that in a dozen of eggs you buy, there will always be a bad egg, rotten egg perhaps. So as expected the service was smooth in the beginning but come in the middle of it and before the 3rd service is finished. He/She will destroy everything and in our case, well, she did. She woke up late, complains too much, she was L3, very beautiful but her personality is so strong, that's why maybe eventhough her staff number is 14XXX, she is still in the coral zone because of warning letters, she was surpassed by our Thai galley operator who's FJ already with 15XXX in staff number, very efficient, Krab!

New York is fast, almost 15 hours but with 4 hours plus rest, not bad huh?

Though our hotel, the infamous GARDEN CITY HOTEL located at the posh Garden City Village located in Nassau, New York City, 18.5 miles from midtown Manhattan. The said village is upper-midclass, predominantly white, Roman-Catholics and Protestant community. Many families can trace their heritage to Italian and Irish immigrants who moved to Long Island from New York City.

Houses were Victorian inspired, huge, really huge houses. It's like you are in the shoot of Gossip Girl. Upper East Side Ho Ho Ho atmosphere.

It was raining Cats and Dogs, actually it's just drizzling as per Amanda. So I bored myself inside my room. Ordered from In-Room Dining, tried sleeping then just walked. Feel the fresh breeze of NYC. Then slept again.

I can't wait to see more of New York. Passengers will always be like that, they paid full so I will give them full service with happy ending, Service with a Smile (sarcastic? Nahhh. geniune smile I guess. )
