Prelude To A Kiss

Prelude to a kiss?

Prelude to a brand new you?

Prelude to something special?

or Prelude to the same old sh#$!

Just kidding, I apologize if I haven't write anything for the past 7 days, I am still on a 9-day voyage to the east and the land down under. After 9 months, whew! it's like having a newborn, kidding aside, going back to Singapore this time was a breeze. I don't have the headeache and stress anymore because I brought it with me... Naaah! It's my life so I'm happy to be with that special someone!

Again, from just weighing 60 kgs. before I went to the lion city, now, I weighed myself in Brisbane and I am 65 kgs. already! Almost 12 lbs. baby! Blame it to the Laksa, Chilli Crabs and sumptuous fried rice and satay I ate! The beers that I tried drinking and the fun I experienced!

The last time I did Singapore, I was stressed! Too stressed! So all my writings were full of bragging and nagging! Critizing how bad the people, how rude how cha-cha-cha! But now, I am humbled by the experience again of great views and more.

My mom celebrated her 59th birthday last 24th and I almost forgot and I know how patient she was waiting for my call or message and I did! I'm not bad la!

Well, for 71 hours in Singapore, it was a blast, tiring but a blast!

So instead of going to Koala sanctuary and Gold coast in Brisbane, Australia. I spent the rest of my layover trip in my bed, sleeping of course! Just went out last night with the crew for some mouth-watering outback pork barbeque ribs, chips and beers!

And by the way, its springbreak here so I barely go out, I can't stand the twinks outside! (wink!)

Going back to Singapore tomorrow for another 2 days and back to the sandpit! I wish we have some more time hehehe!

Responsibilities. Responsibilites.

I will just post our Singapore-Brisbane photos when I get back to Abu.

First Look!

After almost 5 days, finally, I was able to go out of my crib and had a taste of fresh arabian air. Went out for a quick stomach fix with my sibling at Marina Mall.

I don't know why we call it food court since they only have 4 food kiosk to choose from but anyhow, we chose Sbarro! 2 slices of regular pizza, a greek salad, soda and garlic bread and lots of carbs. He He He!

I'm bloated again so we went for a walk to Ikea and Carrefour.

I saw E72 and Nokia N97 Mini and was able to check some external features of it!

For Nokia E72: the feel is like the E71 but improved version since it has an optical trackpad, 5 megapixel with flash, very stylish and will cost you 1,900+ AED

On the other hand, the Nokia N97 Mini, the version we have here is the RAOUL collection, we all know that this limited edition is being offered in Singapore only. Very sophisticated look, quite small and sleek and goldish yet smaller than the previous version which costs 2,250 AED.

I will stick to BlackBerry, I guess. Well at least after so many months of delay, officially, Nokia released these most anticipated model of 2009.

Oprah Winfrey Show Comes To An End...Who's the Queen Of Talk Now?

I was browsing and browsing until I saw this blog regarding Oprah, well, I felt  sad that she's about to park her pen soon. However, I believe that she has inspired millions of people around the world with her charitable works and with her high work ethics.

You will be missed Oprah!

Read more about the news:

CHICAGO – "The Oprah Winfrey Show," an iconic broadcast that grew over two decades into a daytime television powerhouse and the foundation of a multibillion-dollar media empire, will end its run in 2011 after 25 seasons on the air, Winfrey's production company said Thursday night.

Winfrey plans to announce the final date for her show during a live broadcast on Friday, Harpo Productions Inc. said, bringing an end to what has been television's top-rated talk show for more than two decades, airing in 145 countries worldwide and watched by an estimated 42 million viewers a week in the U.S. alone.

A Harpo spokeswoman declined to comment Thursday on Winfrey's future plans except to say that "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will not move to cable television.

Winfrey is widely expected to start up a new talk show on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, a much-delayed joint venture with Discovery Communications Inc. that is expected to debut in 2011. OWN is to replace the Discovery Health Channel and will debut in some 74 million homes. An OWN spokeswoman declined comment Thursday.

CBS Television Distribution, which distributes "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to more than 200 markets blanketing the United States, held out hope that it could continue doing business with Winfrey, perhaps producing a new show out of its studios in Los Angeles.

"We have the greatest respect for Oprah and wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors," the unit of CBS Corp. said in a statement. "We know that anything she turns her hand to will be a great success. We look forward to working with her for the next several years, and hopefully afterwards as well."

What's New With Me?

Well as you all know, I am addicted to mobile phones as much as I am addicted to bags.

I just got my BlackBerry Bold 9000 approximately a month ago. I loved it so much and like I-Phone, it's a must have mobile phone if you want to be hip! Unfortunately, I disposed it again!

Now, I am torn between BlackBerry Curve 8520 and the new Nokia E72.

Ohh well, another cash slashed and me burden with this addicition that I wish will stop soon!

Help!

First:

The new E72 is as thin as the E71 (10mm), but comes with better features, like HSDPA 10.2Mbps and HSUPA 2Mbps, 5MP autofocus camera, 3.5mm headset jack, 250MB of internal memory and a 600MHz ARM processor.

Other features include a 2.4 inch QVGA display, full QWERTY keypad, Wi-Fi, GPS, Nokia Maps and Nokia Messaging. Price: 570 USD

BlackBerry Curve 8520

512MHz processor
256MB Flash memory

I wish I could stop! What to choose? I'm downgrading again! Grrrrrrr!

Two Years And Counting...

I

I am fortunate to be part of the United Arab Emirates National Flag Carrier, Etihad Airways. In such a short span of time, the company was able to establish its name and place as the World's Leading Airline, surpassing Emirates and others.

We are growing, learning and improving.

Every year we are doing the recurrent training to update, refresh and equipped us with all the necessary tools to ensure that safety will be implemented while where on the duty.

It's an opportunity also to see my batchmates that I haven't seen for a long period, catch up and enjoy the short time we have. Not to mention meeting new collegues and facilitators.

The training was interesting, kinda stressful but helpful. I enjoyed the practical drills and got so excited with the exams. Memorizing the equipment almost paralized me! Just kidding! It was really exruciating but relaxing afterwards!

Indeed, it was fun and I learned additional information on many things about the company's policies and procedures, how to deal with stress and fatigue and a lot more.

Bonded with my batchmates, Mina, Icah, Lala, Giada, Ziad, Wenzel, Jill, David, Anjitha, Pallavi & Leonora. And learned so much with our facilitators Zinnette, Boyka, Kawthar, Sharon & Claire.

What A Relief!

After 12 hours, my first day of recurrent training is over.

First Aid for the first day. 8 hours of grueling classroom class, a practical exam for CPR/AED and a 50-questionnaires 2 marks per question.

I am so excited to go back in the academy. I'll be seeing again my batchmates, new colleques and the same feeling of anxiety whether we'll pass the exams or not.

Nonetheless, as our instructor in First Aid, Zinnette said. It's that certain fear that push ourselves beyond our limit. It help us strive to be the best. And I would say yes! I am still passionate in everything I do.

Am I prepared for tomorrows exam and lecture? Well I will see that in a few hours, I will just recharge myself by sleeping for about 6 hours and after that, time to refresh my memory for Airbus.

Gotta sleep now.

Being Nationalist

I am proud of being Filipino but I am not so proud of what is happening to our country today. Corruption and cruelity has been part of the government that's why until now we are part of the third world countries. Few individual gets richer and the rest continue to be the poorest! Oh well, that's life, and the only thing that keeps me loving my country is that we are blessed with talented people who continue to inspire the rest of the world.

During my last Manila flight, I observed that "Balikbayans" or Immigrants around the globe were all wearing Nationalistic inspired shirts which for me is quiet flattering. Aside from Team Manila who produces nice quality clothing line, Collezione C-2 made a comeback, My Pilipinas collection by Rhett Eala.

I so LVoe the shirts and what else... Their new bag collection. My new My Pilipinas Tote Bag is on the way and definitely its worth flashing the streets of Milan, New York and Toronto. A new addition to my high end bag collections hehehe!

When I get it, I will post the photos and hope you'll LVoe it too!

5-Day Express

I am rostered to fly to South Africa for my Johannesburg and Cape Town flight, a nice layover turned sour, I was forced by the GCAA to have my face check because of acne breakout! Gosh, never in my life I imagined that I will have pimples, grrrr, and as they say, you'll never know what you'll get! I want some proactive hehehe!

Well, it was a blessing in disguise that I have to go back to Manila. It was heaven flying as passenger, I am free of carrying stone-like luggages and those very persistent passengers who insist what we don't have. I enjoyed the cramped seat and snobbish ground staff. My inflight entertainment system was not working, if I'm a full fare passenger, god knows what will I do (ssshhh!), I didn't complain ok ! Good thing I brought my netbook to keep me busy and my BB Bold to calm me.

The trip was fast! Like an expresso that I needed more shots! And by the way, Starbucks addicts, Starbucks Philippines is offering the most anticipated gift for next year, yeah! You got it right! The 2010 Planner and it has 3 designs, all you have to do is to pamper yourselves with 17 Starbucks coffees and frappes hahaha!

I can't wait to see mine.

Well, I had a great time with my friends and family. Went to my MD, my favorite Dr. Marlon Lajo, Visit the condo, went to several music bars, got drunk, got my renewed driving license! went to Phil. Overseases Department to get m OEC and got pissed! and ate my favorite Filipino and Japanese dishes!

Honestly, if not for my friends and family and the "beaches" I won't go back, peace!

For The Love Of Shorts

For The Love Of Shorts! Bow!

As far as I can remember, I'm not a big fan of shorts, mainly wearing shorts! Because before I so envied my peers who are blessed with footballer's legs, yup those big and huge thighs and legs that guys and girls go gaga and ballistic but as I grow older, I was able to embrace the fact that I inherited my mom's chicken legs and no matter how long I'll spend time in the gym to fix it, it won't! so I will not waste time anymore!

I am so happy that fashion is changing, and boys can wear not only shorts but tailored ones, shorts that enhances your legs and make your legs interesting no matter how thin or big it is.

If there is a word that says "shorts-hag" I'm that person aside from being a bag-hag! I have dozens of nice shorts from H&M, Zara, Topman and locally made Dean & Trent, and I love it!

Since I can't afford buying high end shorts from Dolce & Gabbana or Trussardi's. I made it tailored courtesy of my sister Sonia! Bravura for me!

Flash those sexy legs in shorts... Hahaha... not me! I just love shorts!
