ASOS | Breton Tops

I'm always fascinated with stripes, especially blue ones. If you'll open my closet, you will find blue stripes of all kind. I remember when H&M had its Breton tops collection, I hoarded till I literally dropped, especially when the shirts went on SALE for only $2 each! It was heaven!

And now that ASOS is paying tribute to the history of this shirt, lets go back and take a second look how this shirt came to existence...

BRENTON TOPS

is a Sailor-made for French seamen dated 1858 and adopted by navies the world over, the iconic tops have come in-land for good this season.

Unashamedly nautical in essence, the Brenton T-Shirt has always had a loyal following, including me. But now, more than ever before, us land-lubbers are getting in on the act, taking them away from Captain Birdseye cliche and towards a cleaner, Scandinavian-influenced look, forming a srtorially strong partnership with sandy chinos and spring derbies. But no matter your style is, its a classic, making it the most accessible of wardrobe updates.

Manila | 18 Hours

It's always fun to go to your happy place and I consider Manila as one of those cities in the world I can call home.

Etihad Airways fly to Manila 9 times per week, 18 hours layover, 31 and 48, most of the Filipino crew are dying to get the 48 hours, me too! But luckily I got one which is 18 hours only. Its quiet tiring but hey, its my hometown and I still want to go...

With almost 14 hours stay after we landed, and since I'm fasting I went directly to my favorite fast food chain, Wendy's, ordered Biggie Iced Tea, Spicy Friend Chicken and Biggie Fries and Frosty, I was full until Sohoor.

                                     ( My favorite un-healthy snacks )

In the morning, I just went to  Greenbelt and Landmark for some window shopping. But one cocky thing I did, I have myself pierced again!

( the very first patrons of Landmark that day )

     ( I chose YOU )

( Ate's very first customer )

It was fun because the weather was gloomy that I want to sleep the whole time, but I didn't, I would if I have to!

I got my new citizenship too! See...

                                             ( my new citizenship, I LVoe! )

And here's some photos on my way to my hotel room at MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL.

                          ( My GLEE-k eyeglass from PRIMARK , for 1 pound )

  ( Jacket & Stripped Shirt-H&M, Eyeglass-Primark, Carrot Cut Jeans-Zara, Shoes-Primark, Belt-Louis Vuitton )

So I'm just crossing my fingers that when the next roster is published I will have back to back to back long layover Manila hehehe!
