Beauty 101: Beauche

Through trial and error " I discovered Del Monte Spaghetti sauce ", just kidding. I have tried many regimen for my face, and sadly, for the last 5 months, I bear the burden of having acne, not one but too many too mention. I cried over and over, because never in my life I imagine to have even 2 pimples on my cheeks.

Sadly it's my fault, I used and tried so many facial products that promised miracles. I failed.

And now, many have tried this product, and I too before but stopped then finally, I said I will continue to use it. And finally, after the help of my dermatologist and the use of Beauche. My pimples are gone and only the marks of months of agony remains. I may need diamond peel or spanish peel maybe, but Beauche is slowly but surely erasing bad memories of acne.

Some of my friends tried it and definetely, it works well and beautifully, For me, I love the exfoliating cream, the age eraser and rejuvinating creams. The formulation is not harsh and strong. The effects can be seen in just 1 to 2 weeks.

It's like my face is rejuvinated.

The Beauche Set has the orange beauty bar soap, skin toner, clarifying lotion, exfoliating cream, age eraser and rejuvinating cream for only 80 AED. Not much for a complete set.

The product is best for skin irregularities such as pimples, acne, pigmentation, discoloration, oily face, black and white heads, open pores & warts.

Application procedure:

Night time:

1.Clean face, neck and arms with skin toner using facial cotton.

2.Wash face with Beauché bar soap.

3.Apply clarifying lotion with the upward stroke using facial cotton.

4.Put on generous amount of exfoliating cream. Do not rinse.

5.After 15 minutes, spread over substantial amount of rejuvenating cream in circular motion. Do not rinse. Let it stay overnight

Day time:

1.Rub face with ice to close the pores and lift dead skin, and eliminates the night creams.
2.Wash face with Beauché bar soap.
3.Spread on face ample amount of age eraser cream to moisturize the skin and to protect from harmful UV rays.

Initial Reactions during the first week of application:

•Redness of face
•Stinging sensation
•Appearance of new pimples
•Tightening of skin

Do not prick your pimples, white heads, & black heads, for it will come out & eventually heal.

Stability: The change of color of the product doesn’t affect its efficacy. It had undergone through aging process, and still safe to use.

I am just promoting this product because I have tried it, tested it and for me it worked! Results may vary so you can try it first then avail this Beauche Set.

My Big Four + 1

Approximately four weeks from now, the new season of Big Brother Philippines or popularly known as Pinoy Big Brother Double-Up will come to a close. And soon, the big winner will be revealed. Tensions are rising since "Kuya" or "Big Brother" invited some ex-housemates to distract, distraught, demoralize the 8 remaining housemates so that their real personality, identity, dignity will come out! The televiewers will then choose who are the deserving 4 housemates to remain in the house until the announcement of the winners on the 14th of February.

I already have my Big Four but I added 1 more because I can't decide whether Mariel or Mommy Kath will stay.

Here is my pick.

The Big Four Plus 1

Melason Forever ( Jason and Melissa aka Melay/Isay )

Paul Jake Of Cebu

Mommy Kath of Spain

& Mariel

I have a big feeling that Melissa and Jayson will win hahaha! I know, I need to pick only 1 but I can't... I'm hoping that Mommy Kath will be part of the Big Four.

Beauty 101: Botox

In the past, there was a social stigma attached to men seeking cosmetic treatment. However, in today’s society seeking medical advice and treatment to improve your looks is no longer the preserve of women and cosmetic procedures among men are on the rise. If were talking about cosmetic surgery or augmentation let's say in early 2000, people will start to talk in silence and during coffee breaks, " you know she had breast blah blah, her nose were done, she had this and that " and what more for guys! Bad!

But now, beauty clinics are everywhere and it becomes a need to be beautiful and presentable.

Working in an airline industry where everyday, you work with people, meet different passengers from different countries, of course, this is not a job where you are just staring at your computer waiting for calls or doing research and different stuff. You work with living things, people who are judgemental, mean and rude (just kidding) ! But honestly, we must look good to feel good.

And since the "fountain of youth" is yet to be found. We indulge in different cosmetic procedures to enhance and temporarily preserve our youthful beauty (bwahahaha) reality bites but we need to take care of ourselves like celebrities right? If you think that beauty is only skin deep, here you need to be presentable. And not clumsy, fugly and smelly. (oppps sorry!) I mean it.

But still, many of our collegues tend to neglect it and let nature takes it course. Not me!

So, I will first suggest a non-surgical treatment that can wipe at least 5-10 years of your age. If you're in your early 20's, don't even think about this, you don't want to look like a baby in a flight attendant's suit.

I watched Kuya Kim's Matang Lawin ( Eye of the Falcon ) and he said that among ethnicities, Caucasians gets wrinkles easily, the Asians and lastly, our Black brothers. But never worry, here is the solution for a brand new you!

The BOTOX

For men too!

"BOYTOX", manscaping and youthanising are the popular terms used for this procedure. Botox treatment, around 15 to 30 percent of patients are male, but the exact number is dependent on your location. It is now the most popular non-surgical procedure amongst men.

The motivation behind seeking Botox treatment varies between individuals. Some men seek Botox treatment in the belief it will boost their chances on the singles scene, and experience a confidence boost as a result of the procedure. But for many men, Botox is seen as a career investment. The most commonly treated area in men is the frown lines between the eyes. If these lines are deep, they can cause a person to look angry even when their expression is neutral. Removing these lines can give a person a more ‘approachable’ appearance, which can be a career advantage for many men whether they are a salesman who needs to appear friendly or an attorney who needs to make a good impression in the court room and especially if you are a Flight Attendant.

How does it works?

Well Botox injections consist of highly diluted amounts of botulism bacterium. When injected directly under the skin's surface, the substance causes controlled weakening of the muscles, resulting in a softer and more relaxed look. The procedure itself only takes a few minutes and believe me, you will wait more finding a cab in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Manila than doing the procedure.

Where can you use it?

It was originally approved by the FDA for treating lines and wrinkles between the eyebrows, however, Botox now can be used for several procedures to reduced the signs of ageing like crow's feet, eye and laugh lines, creasing and even excessive sweating in your hands and armpits (eioooowwww!)

How long will it last?

Nothing lasts forever dear! The effects can be seen in around 3 days and the average amount of time lasts between 3 months up to 6 months.

How much?

Good question! This costs around 400 AED in Bangkok for the upper face area, 600-800 AED in Manila and around 1000 AED in Abu Dhabi/Dubai.

Who Is Annie Leibovitz?

Anna-Lou "Annie" Leibovitz (pronounced /ˈliːbəvɪts/;) was born October 2, 1949, an American portrait photographer whose style is marked by a close collaboration between the photographer and the subject.

Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Leibovitz is the third of six children. Her mother, Marilyn Leibovitz, was a modern dance instructor; her father, Sam Leibovitz, was a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force. The family moved frequently with her father's duty assignments, and she took her first pictures when he was stationed in the Philippines.

In high school, she became interested in the various artistic endeavours, and began to write and play music. She attended the San Francisco Art Institute, where she studied painting. She became interested in photography after taking pictures when she lived in the Philippines, where her Air Force father was stationed during the Vietnam War. For several years, she continued to develop her photography skills while she worked various jobs, including a stint on a kibbutz in Amir, Israel, for several months in 1969.

She worked for Rolling Stone and then Vanity Fair.

She learned that you can work for magazines and still do your own personal work, which for her was the most important thing. It is much more intimate and tells a story for her as she works with people who love her and who will "Open their hearts and souls and lives to you."

Her famous works include Covers of John Lennon and Yoko Ono for Rolling Stone, taken 5 hours before JL shot dead. Demi Moore's 2 publicized covers, Demi's Pregnant Naked Photo and Demi's body painted suit. Other famous shots were of Queen Elizabeth II, Whoopi Goldberg, Barrack Obama, Bill Gates, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, Sting and more. She also do the yearly Walt Disney's Year of a million dreams!

Tiger Woods For Vanity Fair

I ain't a big fan of TW. But he's a sports superstar. A bankable endorser, a father, husband and (accused) womanizer. Who are we to judge right?

But people like gossips, the big ones. Stars who fell from the pedestal tops our list.

And for Tiger, we feast on his mistakes, from the car crash, his fuming wife, his tale of kinky extramarital affairs, and more.

Vanity fair talks about his adventures, for VF February 2010 issue. read here!

See his cover story.

Personally, I don't like his photo but since Annie Leibovitz took it. I LVoe!
