Around The World In A Bad Mood

I've been travelling the world as a flight attendant for almost a decade now and I would say that I still have the passion and fashion for the job, though there were times where I wanted to scream to a passenger who wanted a special lavatory for " British Passport " holders who looks, sounds and smells like a Chicken Tikka Masala or a family of Black Ninja Turtles and Penguins who wanted to sit together and will faint if they will be separated for an 1 hour and 30 minutes flight. Crazzzyyyyy! But I LVoe my Job! I LVoe it!

I want to disappear but I am trained for this kind of situation, to smile, assist and serve as they please!

I can enumerate the flights which tested my patience, politeness and professionalism. These incidences were funny, stressful, medically straineous, physically, mentally and spritually dehydrating but we are paid for this kind of situation.

The name itself, Flight Attendant is really Glamorous but it entails so many things that many of us, pretty faces and well rounded individuals may not be able to bear once the training starts and your actual first operating flight takes off.

This job has given me the luxury of time and money to see the world, the education to learn different cultures, expanded my horizon and become a better and worst person. And I am thankful for that!

The book, Around the world in a bad mood by Rene Foss, a flight attendant for 16 years gives us the perspective view of a cabin crew towards her job, her colleagues and of course, our passengers/guests. I read the excerpt and its great, I wanted to read it ASAP!

And though my search for this book here in Dublin was futile, I will not rest my feet until I find one,in AMAZON.COM maybe....

Try to read this book. And they have a play|musical about the book too!

I LVoe!
