Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is also called "Lunar New Year", because it is based on the lunisolar Chinese calendar. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month (Chinese: 正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival. Chinese New Year's Eve is known as chú xī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve".

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festivity in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. The origin of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Ancient Chinese New Year is a reflection on how the people behaved and what they believed in the most.

Big Brother Philippines Winner

Finally, tonite after almost 4 months, Big Brother Philippines comes to an end at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium aka Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, Manila Philippines.

Melissa A.K.A Melai of General Santos City was announced the Big Winner followed by richy boy - Paul Jake from Cebu, Jayson of Batangas 3rd, Johan of Manila, 4th and Tibo of Cagayan de Oro 5th placer.

Millions of Filipinos around the world supported this international-franchise reality show of Endemol from Europe and attracted hundreds of thousands aspiring housemates to audition for the coveted slots.

I will definitely miss the house and the housemates. Until then...

Again, congratulations, Melai! I hope that I will see you more often now in the small screen.

Hello Upper East Side...

XoXo. Penn Badgley also known as Dan Humprey at CW hit series GOSSIP GIRL is all grown up. In the series, he is the least glam boy next door among the two other lead stars, Chuck Bass ( Ed Westwick ) and Nate Archibald ( Chace Crawford ). Nonetheless, he got the heart of Blake Lively. How's that?

Not to elaborate too much on this, he was born on November 1, 1986 at hello Baltimore, Maryland, studied acting and compeleted two years of credits at Santa Monica College. He started acting when he was 11 when he and his mom relocated in Hollywood, doing voice over jobs, some extra casting and finally landing a lead role in teen television series GG aired September 2007, the rest is history for Penn now.

He did his major film role in John Tucker Must Die and last year's the Stepfather.
