Hello Karachi Again!

Well, crew planning LVoes to give me Pakistan flights, my first one this June, and were using Airbus 340-600, a huge aircraft!

I just hope I will be galley operator. I don't want to get flu and colds anymore, I had the same flight before my local leave, around May 15 and flight is full of Deportees who were all coughing like dogs and sneezing and everything, but the flight went well, and when I got home! I have colds and flu as well.

I heard also that they are selling cheap and good quality leather goods in the airport. My friend|flatmate got two pieces of jackets for only $65. Not bad at all!

Opening Ceremony Fall | Winter 2010 Collection

Our favorite online retailer-and-clothing-label, Opening Ceremony, has released a lookbook for its fall / winter 2010 collection. What more could you expect from Opening Ceremony, aside from beautiful spot-on designs, like unstructured knits, and simple woolen pieces for the boys, and dangly Rodarte-inspired dresses, and ultra-trendy wedges for the girls? Don’t feel left out, the Pendleton collab seems to have left an impression though, as we see some beautiful Native American inspired patterns on the men’s side of things too. Beautiful photography work by Max Farago and styling by Mel Ottenberg make this a brilliant lookbook that we’ll still be referencing months from now.

FIFA World Cup Trophy Unveiled

In Louis Vuitton case that is!

French fashion house Louis Vuitton has unveiled an elegant leather-bound case that it produced to carry the trophy to South Africa on Tuesday.
This case has been unveiled in the presence of Patrick-Louis Vuitton, Yves Carcelle (CEO of Louis Vuitton), and also the supermodel Naomi Campbell.
From the tournament’s beginning in 1930, the World Cup trophy has always been transported in an armored metal case — largely for reasons of security.

They will produce another case for the 2014 World Cup.

Australian brand Saint Augustine Academy lives up to its moniker with a suitably dark fall / winter 2010 collection. The pieces seem to channel the spirit of Edgar Allen Poe’s American gothic tradition, with floppy ties, and a dark-yet-dignified quality to them. The Saint Augustine man is almost like that classic Southern gentleman, but with a hint of steel to him – a dark, menacing streak.

Louis Vuitton And The FIFA World Cup 2010 Trophy

My hope to swap my 428 flight to Joburg-Cape Town seems a wild goose chase. The World Cup is starting in one week and nobody wants to exchange flights! Of course! Times like this, flights to South Africa will be a gem to giveaway right?

Oh well what to do?

Aside from Ronaldo, Kaka and Beckham, something to look forward is the trophy of the much anticipated game. A golden metal needs the best case for keeps right? So when FIFA needed a trophy case, who else would they turn to, but Louis Vuitton?

A one-of-a-kind carrying case hand-made in the Louis Vuitton atelier in France, the case is measured to the exact specifications of the FIFA World Cup Trophy. The case is decorated with the Louis V monogram and features room to hold the gloves required by the Cup’s handlers.

In 1970, the Brazilians became the first nation to win three World Cups, and were awarded the Jules Rimet Trophy in perpetuity as the late Rimet had stipulated after the first World Cup tournament in 1930. The cup was later stolen, and never recovered. Today, decoy trophies and heavy security are used rigorously to deter thieves, but this case is kind of a dead giveaway, isn’t it?
