Reading Didache

I was brought up praying the rosary, most of the time, falling asleep while my grandmother urged me to finish the mysteries. Studied in catholic school, obedient yet stubborn in many ways.

As I grow older, I seldom, seldom go to church to hear mass or recite the rosary, or even open the bible.

I realized that something is missing. And it's bro. I owe him a lot! Too much!

So one stuff in my bucket list is to be a good disciple.

I'm reading now Bo Sanchez's Didache. It's another food for the soul reading material.

Still having nightmares though... Grrrr! I think I need a dream catcher

I LVoe it!

My Addiction Continues...

Oh forgive me for I have sinned again...

Unfortunately, my campaign to stop my addiction failed! I recently acquired the Nokia E72. I enjoyed it for a couple of hours and lost the luster afterwards. That's it! Yes that fast!

And I still crave for the new bold, I think it's the one for me! I hope soooo!

My review for the Nokia E72?

( my JB's intense, rayban's wayfarer, YSL shades & the nokia E72 )

1.    The 5 megapixel camera is mediocre
2.    Loudspeaker, mediocre again.
3.    Optical trackpad is okay but the rough edges in between is annoying
4.    Video is crap
5.    3.5mm headset jack saved the day

Overall, it's up for grab again! Sigh! Please send me the new bold 9700!

Freddy's Back!

Freddy Krueger that is! This time for the film, A Nightmare On Elm St. sort of prequel of all the films that Freddy has made. I practically grew old on horror films, I LVoe it! But now, maybe in moderation. But I will definetely get this one even in Blu ray or DVD.

His precious claws will hunt down generations of neigbhors from Elm Street again. But this time, the effects are surreal. I can't wait to see this film. Must see for 2010!

Wes Craven is a genious, imagine after creating Freddy, he has made so much horror flicks that became cult such as SCREAM franchise, The Hills Have Eyes, Red Eye, Cursed, The Last House on the left and more. From Director, Producer and Actor, Wes proved that you can be multi-tasker to scare moviegoers ei! Although Samuel Bayer is directing the flick, Wes maintains all the TM characters, how cool is that.

They are now in production and is expecting release, 3rd quarter of 2010.

What I've Learned Today

A few hours ago was the last working day of 7-day block of flying roster for this week. I'm so anticipating my 2 days off. Beirut, a challenging flight but it should be okay! Well that's what I hoped. The flight was okay but something happened between the crew. Report. Report. Report. I hate it! So with confidentiality, I will keep my mouth shut! But please don't believe rumors, as they say, there is another side of the coin! As Miss International 1979, Miss Melanie Marquez, said... " Don't judge a book if you're not a judge "

I've learned so many things today, frustrating ones but enlightening. Here are some of my thoughts and others that I've incorporated in my blog.

I've learned...
not to tell anything bad or good if you don't know that person well.

I've learned...
not to trust people easily.

I've learned...
that even if you're right, they can easily make you otherwise.

I've learned that
bad things happen to good people all the time.

I've learned to keep my thoughts with me and never speak again, it may be taken against you! Nonetheless, I need to speak up when they are pulling you down.

I've learned that promises are made to be broken

I've learned that many people has a dark side

I've learned...

that you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.

I've learned...
that you should always leave loved
ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.

I've learned...
that we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

I've learned...
that either you control your
attitude or it controls you.

I've learned...
that heroes are the people who do what has
to be done when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I've learned...
that my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned...
that sometimes the people you expect to
kick you when you're down will be the
ones to help you get back up.

I've learned...
that true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.

I've learned...
that just because someone doesn't love you
the way you want them to doesn't mean they
don't love you with all they have.

I've learned...
that maturity has more to do with what types
of experiences you've had and what you've
learned from them and less to do with how
many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned...
that no matter how good a friend is, they're
going to hurt you every once in a while and
you must forgive them for that.

I've learned...
that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by
others, Sometimes you have to learn to forgive
yourself.

I've learned...
that our background and circumstances may
have influenced who we are, but we are
responsible for who we become.

I've learned...
that just because two people argue, it doesn't
mean they don't love each other. And just
because they don't argue, it doesn't mean
they do.

I've learned...
that we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.

I've learned...
that two people can look at the exact same
thing and see something totally different.

I've learned...
that even when you think you have no more
to give, when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.

I've learned...
that credentials on the wall do not
make you a decent human being.

I've learned...
that the people you care about most
in life are taken from you too soon.

I've learned...
that family and friends are what make
us who we are today, and without them
we would never be complete.

I've learned...
that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

I've learned...
that it is not what you wear; it is how you take it off.

I've learned. a lot today!

It Takes As Long As It Takes...

Everything we desire if it's really meant for you, will be given to you no matter how impossible you think it will be. I met my BFF (best friend forever) Angelica and her beau, Mikhail at Starbucks for a quick sip of frappuccino and chitchat. Mikhail said that the position for Cabin Senior opens again! It brighten my tired eyes, of course coming from a two day morning " Inspired Service " training for economy. I was estatic!

This might be the sign I'm looking for, he said that I must apply now and check my crew mail. With all enthusiam after buying some stuff at the grocery, I walked fast and checked it.

Viola! Opening for Cabin Senior, I am qualified only to be dismayed. Because they changed the Experience requirement again, before, as long as you have previous premium and supervisory position experience from other airline, you can apply. So most of the new crew applied. But now, you need to be IS (inspired service) premium zone trained and actually worked there, for 6 months. What? I've been in economy for 2 years and 2 months now! And last year, newbies with experience where accepted for the position, junior than me! (no offense, but that's how the cookie crumbles right?) Well, maybe not for me. I am still inspired working though, with a little bit disappointment. Maybe next time ei!

No grudges for me!

I stumbled-upon this nice tee shirt from holycool, " it takes as long as it takes " tee.

This tee by W+K Studio has a great statement that reminds us of how it's impossible to make something take less time than it's supposed to take. That's a good thing to keep in mind in the new year.

For only $ 20.

Getting Inspired...But I Need An Espresso, Now!

I am a bit hesitant before doing the training for the inspired service for coral economy, why? because this manifest that we'll be staying for a bit longer in the beautiful jungle. (jk). Anyhow, according to Jenni E. we need to embrace change to move on...and be better!

I saw things that amazes me, if I am travelling in economy with such improved stuff like retro fitted pillow, leather seats, superb inspired economy meals, choices of hot & cold beverages, state of the art in-flight entertainment system, passionate cabin crew and unparallel inspirational service plus competitive rates? what more can you ask for? Will you still travel with any other airline? Not anymore right?

Well I guess, change is good! I am inspired!

My only worry is that, will all crew have the same passion and acceptance to share inspirational experience with our guests? will they work with their hearts and not their egos? I guess not! Okay, let's see!

We aim To be the best airline in the world, we are almost there, bagging SKYTRAX's World's Leading Airline Award for 2009 is no joke! And for the first time, I was informed that we won almost 50 awards for the past 6 years! Including best cabin staff and economy meal service! Whew... we are indeed extraordinary! And change is really inevitable!

I bet our rival airline is having goose-bumps now, with all the resources of Abu Dhabi that can withstand until the next 100 years, with humbleness, anything is possible. And those little touches will make it work! Let see!

Japan flight is opening this quarter, I can't wait to see the Sumo Wrestlers, flambouyant Harajuku girls and to finally taste authentic nissins ramen, Sushi and Tempura, Oishi Desu Ne! Why Not!

Be Inspired! I am! Bonusssssss! (jk) I need an espresso now...
