It's CITADIN....

Finally, It's CITADIN NM

Tata, told me she wasn't able to buy my precious but she did... I love it and definitely I will have great time using my new baby, during layovers and window shopping...

The good thing about buying it in Paris is that its cheaper than UAE or somewhere in ASIA and we have VAT Refund and the amount can buy for other things.  Like...

Welcome home my baby...

Before I Sleep...

I can't sleep...

Casper played with me again while I'm in a slightly sleeping mode from a full of drunk MAN passengers my embracing and murmuring again. Sigh! I just prayed and he left me alone in peace.

But a good crew again made my flight, all though you can't choose all you like to fly with but luckily I was rostered in to a good one.

I can't brag about my February rostered since Crew Scheduling granted my SIN-BNE request after 1 year and 3 months, funny huh! Well I have no other layover except that sector, the rest are the challenging yet highly uplifting flights to Karachi, Jeddah, Lahore, Bombay and Bahrain.

JC, my ever so lucky friend cum flatmate has MNL, SIN-BNE (our buddy-bid request) and DUB, lucky him! Hmp! Just kidding.

I don't want to shell out cash anymore for MNL flight, no more... For now.

Have so many thoughts right now, like my brother trying his luck here in UAE (me, shouldering all the expenses!) and other more. But Erin, she still serves as my inspiration for everything, my angel, my lucky charm and my life aside from my dear family and friends.

In approximately, I will finish my January roster by flying to Dhaka, Bangladesh, it's been months since my last flight to this little city partly located in the sub-continental Hindustan.

How do I see the year of the Earth-OX? For me? Prosperity and more blessings to come... I'm a very positive person you know, so I take everthing in good vibes.

I want to sleep. Now!

I can't wait to see another day....

Ciao Ciao De Carabao.

I've Been Anticipating...

Like the song of Britney...Anticipating, I am like a daddy again waiting for another baby... But will it push through or not? Well, I'm not sure, Tata message me yesterday when I'm still in Manchester that she already have it but just this afternoon, she texted me back that she was not able to get my new baby because of some reason. Waaaaa! I gave her some $800 for my baby's expenses... Will she come? I'm not sure, we'll see tomorrow...

If she really didn't have her, I wouldn't mind since I think I love to name my next baby "TADAO" instead of "CITADIN NM", what you think?

Grrrrrrrrrr.... Make up my mind please!

Freezing Manchester...

7 hours and 40 minutes, flying Northwest from AUH going to BAH, Cyprus, The Balkans, LHR then Manchester. Passengers were all sleeping like a baby, moderate turbulence and nothing to do but to clean the lavatory, ha ha ha. My pet peeve!

Arriving ahead of schedule. It's freezing...+3. Of course, the tropical being of me is not used to freezing weather... Bloody cold!

Well, I have a high speed internet connection, paying £ 15 of course. So I better make use of my blogging habit.

Slept a bit so it's now ready to sweep the gloomy city of MANCHESTER...

Catch up with you all later.

Attention Communifakers...

Communifakers?Moi? Uhmm... Sometimes, or most of the times when I am bored or just flirting around. And all of a sudden my phone rang, busted! But there are rules in "communifaking" so that you will not be the laughing stock of the people around you, telling how crazy you are for faking the call...

According to research, 43 percent of women are guilty of communifaking, as are 32 percent of men and 74 percent of 18-24 year olds. So what is it? Communifaking is the act of pretending to be calling, texting or surfing the web on your phone when, in reality, you're just an impostor. You might be trying to look busy waiting in line, you might be trying to show off your shiny new iPhone for a lady, or (most often for me) trying to avoid awkward conversations with strange men at bars.

Here are some rules when communifaking;

  • Make sure your phone is on silent! This includes all sounds, ringtones, text messages, low battery reminders, voice mail chimes...anything. If that phone goes off in the middle of a fake conversation, the jig is up. Most phones have a profile or quick silent setting that will allow you to turn all sounds on or off remotely fast. BUT two exceptions to the silent rule follow...

  • Know your phone. Some phones have buttons on the side for controlling volume. Get to know these buttons well enough to utilize them in the dark or while they're still in your pocket. This way, if you're in the middle of an awkward convo and you need desperately out, you can always bail out with that urgent phone call. DO NOT forget to return to silent mode as soon as you "pick up" the call. Try to fumble with the screen as if you're deciding to answer or not.

  • If you don't have side buttons and want to fake someone calling you, go to your ringtone section and hover over one or select one and it will play. Play the ringtone, then go back to your homescreen. This will interrupt the tone and it will look like you are answering the phone. Proceed with a conversation.

  • Even if your phone is on silent, it may flash when events occur. If you have an external screen, face it away from the target.

  • Have a fake conversation ready. In most social situations, a general fake laugh, or "really?" will do the trick for a quick blow-by. Think about how much you talk when your buddy calls. Probably not much more than a laugh or a quick, "That sucks."
  • Are you a communifaker? Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the 'faking, you should check out the list of situations where you should and shouldn't be posing.

    When it's OK to communifake:

    • To avoid unwanted male or female attention.

    • When you're at an event and you know absolutely no one and are feeling a bit lonely and must do a bit of fakery for the benefit of your own sanity.

    • When you're a child who doesn't know any better.

    • When you've turned up to your meeting ill-prepared and are buying time to think.

    • You're trying to look productive.

    • To avoid looking like a loser at a party because you don't know anyone other than the person who's party it is (they can't hang around with you all night).

    • You're on a date and have just realized you've made a horrible horrible mistake and need an escape.

    • A friend is boring or annoying the hell out of you and you need to make a break for it before you kill her/him.

When it's not OK to communifake:

    • Attempting to show off your new handset.

    • To talk loudly and essentially show off about what you've been up to lately, hoping the surrounding people are listening and oozing with jealousy.

    • When attempting to shop lift.

    • When trying to look cool so you don't look like a loner waiting for friends.

    • When on a bus or mrt/lrt. (Believe it or not, but there are still some who haven't realized there's no signal underground yet.)

    • When expecting a call. When the phone rings mid 'conversation' you'll just end up looking the fool.

"People experience the need to appear socially busy at all times and 'just waiting' is a no-no. Our basic human instinct is to be part of a group. Alone we can feel more vulnerable."

I am so excited with the presentation of the Louis Vuitton's Fall/Winter Collections for 2009, more cutting edge MANBAGS, can you imagine? But nonetheless, I will hold my horses since few will come for production for our cravings. So LV vamps, pick your LVoes.... I had mine...

US Airways Plane Crashed in Hudson River, New York City

NEW YORK (CNN) -- A US Airways plane with 155 people on board went into a chilly Hudson River, apparently after striking at least one bird upon takeoff from New York's LaGuardia Airport, according to officials and passengers.

Everyone on board was accounted for and alive, officials said. About 15 people were being treated at hospitals and others were being evaluated at triage centers.
The plane's captain came on the speaker and said, " 'Brace for impact,' " he said. "That's when we knew we were going down and into the water. We just hit, and somehow the plane stayed afloat and we were able to get on the raft. It's just incredible right now that everybody's still alive."

Live video showed the plane bobbing in the water and moving with the current surrounded by boats. Bloomberg said later Thursday that the plane was tied to a pier at Battery Park City in lower Manhattan. As night fell, Coast Guard and FDNY boats remained at the scene.

Those being treated at hospitals included a husband and wife with hypothermia at Roosevelt Hospital, as well as a flight attendant with a leg fracture, hospital spokeswoman Michelle Stiles said.

"We circled around ... the captain came on and said, 'Look, we're going down. Brace for impact.' Everyone looked at each other and we said our prayers. I said about five Hail Marys," said passenger Kolodjay, who is from Norwalk, Connecticut, and was headed to Charlotte to play golf.

Jerry Wallis, who said he was a private pilot, said he watched the plane go into the water.

"I've got to tell you, the people flying that airplane deserve all the recognition and commendation they can get," Wallis said.

The National Transportation Safety Board was sending a team to the site, according to an agency spokesman.

Since 1975, five large jetliners have had major accidents in which bird strikes played a role, according to the Web site of Bird Strike Committee USA, a volunteer group dedicated to reducing the frequency and severity of the strikes.

More than 56,000 bird strikes were reported to the FAA from 1998 to 2004, according to the group's Web site.

    Life Is Like A Weather

As I was watching the local news, TV PATROL, I was surprised with the current weather condition now, MANILA 18 Degrees Celsius and way up to the City's Summer Capital Baguio City experienced the lowest this year of 7.5 Degrees Celsius. Well, It's now time to put your well kept scarves or fancy trenchies, just be careful of the very discriminating eyes of our fellow locals or just dress whatever you want to wear.

    DUBAI SHOPPING FESTIVAL Just Landed!

All you shopping addicts, DFS will finally start tomorrow until the 15th of February. Most of the shop started to drop their prices. In UAE when it says SALE! They mean it! Just visited EROS, the official distributor of Samsung and Hitachi and they are selling 42" Plasma TV for a hefty 2,900 and 3200 DHS respectively, super cheap! And if you want to send it to the Philippines via FRICO Forwarding, additional 600DHS for a fully-crate protected package for our family. Best deal right. We are lucky that some of the international brands in Abu Dhabi will conjoin the sale for DFS.

I bet, Zara, Pull & Bear, H&M and Topman will have the best sale in town.

This is the time to be frugal right so shop wisely. For the luxury stuff, all will be on sale except for Uncle Louis (in our dreams maybe.)

History of The Dubai Shopping Festival

Launched in 1996, The Dubai Shopping Festival has been a drawing board for events and extravaganzas that have brought people together and allowed for a greater understanding of the world around us by its unique theme of bringing the world to one stage. With a now-famous slogan "One Family, One World, One Festival", the one month-long event plays a vital role in Dubai's tourism industry. It is segregated into many major attractions all with one purpose, to have as many ways of entertaining the guests in the city, and catering to each and every visitor segment arriving from around the world.

The DSF has marvellously redounded to all aspects of life in Dubai, with the expenditure snowballing year on year from AED 2.15 billion and 1.6 million visitors in 1996 to the tune of AED 10.2 billion and 3.5 million visitors in 2006-2007.

    A Reminder

I guess that we have been victimized by spam mails and chain letters, telling you to send this to 30 or 40 of your friends in 2 seconds or else you will be forever be single or your great, great grandfather will die or you will have 20 years of bad luck. So, in fear, we send and before we know it, we don't have credits in our mobile or maybe we don't have 30 or 40 email address of our friends or we don't have much friends, so you will forever blame yourself because you will have bad luck. I did many times. But know, this has to stop, so I just post this but not to scare you guys if you will not send this or not, just read it, all of the statements are valid. That's it... Stay happy.

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR.. When you say, 'I love you,' mean it..

FIVE. When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

TEN.. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN! .. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why do you want to know?'

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say 'bless you' when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice

TWENTY- ONE.. Spend some time alone.
