Crazy In Love | Philippines

I was so bored really and I don't know what to do, so I browsed and search for Philippines Best Fashion Bloggers, the only Filipino fashion bloggers I know is BryanBoy, Chuvaness, BagHag and Divine Lee.

Divine Lee's blog is amazing, it's written mostly in Filipino & some gay language and while reading her blog, I can't help myself but to laugh because you can feel that she's down to earth, as far as I know she's part of the A-Class people in the Philippines yet she was able to capture majority of the middle -class young professionals and teens as well regarding fashion and the like.

I will repost a music video created by one stand up comedian, a parody of Beyonce's Crazy in Love, shot in Manila's Metro Rail, Famous historical landmark and some slum areas.

I LVoe it and I hope you'll like it too!

You can check out her blog too at Divine Lee

The Beach

It's been ages since I posted something that interests me. My travels, my cheap thrills, likes & LVoes, hates, rants & more.

I have been so busy flying and the only time I can manage to rest is when I'm dead sleeping after a long haul flight... But last April, I had the privilege to visit one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Yes, I'm talking about the island of Boracay in Aklan Province in the southern islands of the Philippines.

Boracay island dramatically changed a lot! The facade of the white & fine sands seems diminished and became a bit off-white already, lots of Korean and Chinese tourists, the aisles were overcrowded and swarmed with Locals and vendors but at the same time, the feel of summer is there.

New resort were built and shore line is shorter now.

Nonetheless, I was able to enjoy the sun and shade that it inked my skin... The food is still cheap, at around $30 per meal and its good for 3, massage for an hour costs around $10-20, booze at around $1.50, cocktails $5, island tour for 3 hours costs around $40 and if you'll book early, you can get a nice beachfront hotel at station 1 or 2 including airfare for 2 for around $250 for 3 days and 2 nights.

( The infamous, JUICE BAR )

( The Boracay Fire Dancers were amazing and entertaining )

(The pure coconut oil made my skin tanned, literally!)

Jessica Sanchez | American Idol | Season 11

They say that its easy to distinguish Filipinos from other Asians, hmmm, like what, Loves pork, rice, feel-good movies, scary movies, beauty pageants, boxing, ghost stories, chicken adobo and KARAOKE and singing their hearts out!

Well, I think its part of our culture, I mean, singing, eventhough not all Filipinos are good singers, we just LVoe to sing!

But everytime American Idol open its new season, I am wishing and praying there's Filipino-American that will compete. And for its 11th season, one Filipina, emerged, Jessica Sanchez, she's only 16 years old but a pro already with talent competitions, from showtime at Apollo, America's Got Talent to American Idol, she's part of the Top 24 and in a few hours, the Top 12 will be announced.

Her rendition of Dreamgirls, I do... Randy, Jennifer and Steve gave her a standing ovation. I'm beginning to LVoe her, she has a strong and powerful vocals like Jennifer Hudson.

Just one thing, Who's Jessica's stylist, honestly, she's just 16 so dress her like one not too trashy please, she has a sweet face, let it loose, in a good way! Her hair, earrings, clothes choices is way off honestly! But goodluck to you Jessica, We LVoe you!

Let's crossed our fingers, KUDOS Jessica.... You made me proud!

Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank

Well, Well, Well, another award-winning film from the recently concluded Cinemalaya 2011 where my favorite actress, Eugene Domingo takes the lead. Ang Babae sa Septic Tank is.... I have no idea, before when I heard of it, I thought, WT....another indie film that tackles nudity or sex, maybe.

I was damn wrong! Ang Babae sa Septic tank is a comedy about misguided ambitions, the art of making art and the romanticization of poverty. (autoplagiarist)

Showing on the 3rd of August... I can't wait to see this film...

It's the Philippines 113th year of Independence from the colonizers.

Well, nothing has changed since then, maybe the population is growing, the pollution is terrible and the government officials being corrupt! That's it ! But there are some few Filipinos that's world class and one good reason to be a proud, Filipino!

Well, to my fellow Filipinos worldwide! Happy Independence.

On May 10, 2011, Justin Bieber fans in the Philippines will faint and shout for joy as JB conclude his My World Tour at SM Mall Of Asia Concert ground. If I'm on my puberty, I'll surely be one of the die hard fans to watch it. Hmmm, I'll settle for Shakira and Amr Diab in Abu Dhabi tomorrow.

Charice Nominated For Icon Of Tomorrow

After Charice's cameo performance in Glee's Season 2 premiere I can't help but ask for more episodes from her, though she was pirated already by their toughest competitor- Vocal Adrenalin, I am begging that she returns to Mckinley High and just replace other non-participating original cast members, I wish!

Her Telephone song with Lea is amazing and her song Listen for the audition is a breeze to my ears. Her acting can be polished but her voice is huge and flawless!

The other good news is that she is nominated for US Teen, J-14 Icon Of Tomorrow. Too bad that voting is over today.

She's competiting with Bella Thorne, Bridgit Mendler, Cody Simpson , Frankie Jonas and Greyson Chance. Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift dominated the nominations.

Good luck Charice and I hope to see more of your performance in Glee.

Venus Rising

For at least two hours, the nation was diverted from monitoring the aftermath of the Quriino Grandstand bus siege because of the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Many had pinned their hopes on Miss Philippines Venus Raj in bringing home the crown that has eluded this beauty queen-crazy natiion since 1973 when Margie Moran bagged the title. Gloria Diaz first won the same title in 1969, while Miriam Quiambao almost had the crown but Miss Botswana stole the limelight in 1999.

Venus was a crowd favorite and she looked all set to balance the Miss U crown on her head- till the Q&A portion. Asked by William Baldwin what her greatest mistake in life and how she made it right? Venus seemed stumped for an answer. At 22, what big mistake is a provincial lass expected to have made? and whose retelling would have shaken the very foundations of Mandalay Bay? If she were a former drug addict, a hostage-taker,an abusive mother? maybe she could have left no eye dry in the audience with her answer?

But at 22? Maybe she fell in love with a jerk? got pregnant? Or cheated in an exam?Or shoplift? And who in the right mind will you tell that to the world on Miss Universe Coronation night?

VENUS' fate was sealed not because she didn't have the right answer but because she didn't get the right question ( you know, the one that has to do with saving the planet, the children and the rights of women).

Still and all, she is a winner. A major, major winner.
